A fine of 10 minimum wages that makes 184 rubles will have to be paid by drivers who parked their car closer than 1 meter from ramps, entrances or stairs. The deputies of the Supreme Council adopted in the final reading the law-in-draft of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on amendments and additions to the Code of Administrative Offenses.
The ban on stopping near ramps, entrances or stairs is spelled out in the rules of the road. Practice shows that not all drivers comply with traffic rules. Therefore, the deputies supported the proposal of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic to introduce administrative liability for such an offense. Traffic militia officers will have the right to issue a fine or warning to the violator.
The introduction of fines is a forced measure that should change the attitude of drivers towards pedestrians, especially towards the elderly, the disabled and mothers with strollers, who, first of all, use the ramp.
Only disabled drivers of groups I and II and those who transport disabled people or disabled children can stop closer than 1 meter from ramps, entrances or stairs according to the rules of the road. A driver can also stop to pick up and drop off passengers or to load/unload luggage.
Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses will come into force 14 days after signing by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
