Steps to cooperation

According to Alexander Korshunov, on the first day of their stay in the most western region of the Russian Federation, parliamentarians visited the technopark. Brand new nano and IT technologies are widely represented here. The technopark is developing, certain results in basic scientific research were achieved. Pridnestrovian deputies inquired from the leaders of the technopark how it was formed, what the capital investments in it, familiarized with some practical developments.

The next meeting was with Andrei Klemeshev, the rector of the Baltic Federal University named after Kant. The possibility of interaction, the conclusion of a cooperation agreement between BFU and PSU was discussed with him.

Pridnestrovian parliamentarians were also received by the head of the urban district “City of Kaliningrad” Aleksey Silanov. The main theme is the interaction of Kaliningrad and Pridnestrovie.

The speaker and his colleague Viktor Guzun visited three kindergartens and two schools in Kaliningrad, discussed the functioning of the city’s education system. Recent years there have been quite significant positive changes. All preschool and school educational institutions have become autonomous non-profit organizations. Alexey Silanov shared his experience how it happened. The guests were also shown new technologies for the construction of social facilities, were told on what projects, based on what standards they were being built.

Meetings were held with heads of departments of the city district “City of Kaliningrad”, during which they discussed the mechanism of municipal and state procurement through electronic auctions and tenders. The conversation was also about the development of the road industry, operation and maintenance of roads.

Meeting with State Duma Deputy Alexander Yaroshuk was also held at the site of the Kaliningrad Duma. Issues of interest to Pridnestrovian voters were discussed with him: obtaining Russian citizenship, using maternity capital in the territory of Pridnestrovie.
