Residents of Tiraspol will visit polyclinic number 5 in comfortable conditions in Shevchenko Street. The institution was opened today after overhaul. The building built in 1955 now looks modern. The work has been carried out under the capital investment program since August last year. The roof of the building was repaired, windows and doors were replaced, the system of internal electricity, heat and water supply was replaced, ventilation and air conditioning system was equipped, fire alarm system was installed and the territory adjacent to the clinic was improved.

The renovated building, together with the leadership of the Government and the Ministry of Health, was accepted by the chairman of the Committee on Social Policy Sergei Cheban.

While the building of the polyclinic number 5 was undergoing repair work, the residents of Tiraspol could be served in other polyclinics of the city with coupons. Most of the patients came to polyclinic number 2 in 1st May street. Here, district therapists and pediatricians were accepted and it was possible to pass the necessary tests. Now the fifth polyclinic has its own modern laboratory with new equipment.

The Head of the Committee on Social Policy Sergei Cheban emphasized that the decision was made together with the President, the Supreme Council, and the Government not to exclude healthcare facilities from the capital investment program. Deputy of the Supreme Council added that letters and appeals are already being received, according to which clinics, hospitals in cities and regions of the republic should be included in the capital investment program for next year to carry out repair work.
