The Accounts Chamber will be able to take response measures more quickly

The Accounts Chamber will be able to draw up administrative protocols for obstructing inspections. Deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Rights and Freedoms of Citizens proposed giving such powers to the control body. Correcting the norms of the Code of Administrative Offences the law-in-draft was adopted by the Supreme Council in the first reading.

The Accounts Chamber, being the control body of the Supreme Council, conducts checks for compliance with legislation in the field of finance, thereby monitoring the transparency of spending budget funds. In order to avoid cases when an employee of the Accounts Chamber is not allowed to conduct an inspection on the territory of a controlled facility, industrial buildings, warehouses and storage facilities, or is not provided with documents on economic and financial activities, specialists of the Accounts Chamber are given new powers.

The Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, deputies, heads of inspections and inspectors of the control body by decision of the Accounts Chamber will be able to draw up protocols for violation of Article 17.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (obstruction of the legitimate activities of an employee of the control bodies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic).

The relevant committee will prepare adopted in the first reading the law-in-draft on amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses for adoption in the second reading.
