The Supreme Council considered amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses, authored by Deputy Alexander Shcherba. According to him, numerous appeals from voters were the basis for drafting the law-in-draft.
There is no norm in the current legislation, obliging people to work in such a situation. It is proposed to oblige debtors who cannot find a job in their specialty, to work according to the vacancies offered by the employment centers. Thus, these persons will be able to pay back the maintenance debt at a rate of 50%.
The law-in-draft proposes to consider the refusal of citizens in respect of whom enforcement proceedings have been instituted, offered by the employment center as a reason to be dismissed as unemployed and brought to criminal liability.
Earlier, the law-in-draft was supported by the deputies of the Committee on Legislation. As the head Galina Antyufeeva noted, a large number of such appeals also came to the profile committee, so the legislative initiative is correct and timely.
The deputy corps adopted this law-in-draft in the first reading.
