Taking care of workers rights

20.10.2016

Creation of the Federation of Trade Unions of Pridnestrovie took place in a difficult period for the republic. Immediately after the proclamation of PMR in 1990 October 18, Tiraspol hosted the first congress of the federation, which was attended by employees of trade union organizations of all cities and districts of Pridnestrovie. During the fighting in 1992 the union members of the young republic have been actively involved in the protection of Pridnestrovie, engaged in the evacuation of civilians, helped the wounded.

The main task of the organization remains today the same protection of rights and freedoms of citizens.

Today, members of the Federation of trade unions are actively involved in law: they develop amendments to draft laws and actively defend them at meetings of committees and commissions. Members of the trade union organizations were congratulated by the Chairman of the Supreme Council Committee on Social Policy Sergey Cheban. Deputy Grigory Dyachenko wished health, well-being and new successes in his responsible work. The parliamentarian read out the welcome address on behalf of the Vice-Speaker Alexander Shcherba.

The trade unions summarized the work in a festive day for the organization. It was noted that members of the trade union organization in a difficult time for the republic must demonstrate even greater activity, while maintaining its main task - to care about workers' rights.
