Members of the republican public organization "Children of War" came to the reception to the Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Shcherba. They asked to legislate the status of "Children of War, successors of victory". In their opinion, the first group should include citizens born from 1928 to 1945.
Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba explained to those who came to the reception that at present the law-in-draft fixing the status of "Children of War" is at the development stage. Pridnestrovian speaker consulted with colleagues from the State Duma of Russia on this issue. There is no such federal law in the Russian Federation. Alexander Shcherba suggested that it is necessary to develop a state program before adopting this law.
The Russian state program of patriotic education is a good example, of which the "Immortal Regiment" action is an integral part. Following a long discussion, members of the public organization agreed with the opinion of the legislator, expressing desire to take an active part in the development of this state program.
