75 years ago, the Great Patriotic War began. June 22, 1941 Nazi Germany and its satellites treacherously attacked the Soviet Union. On the proposal of the Supreme Council Chairman Vadim Krasnoselsky participants in today's plenary meeting observed a minute of silence in memory of those killed in the bloodiest war in the history of mankind.
Addressing colleagues deputies, the Parliament Speaker gave a historical retrospective. According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, it has not yet established the exact number of victims of the war. Historians speak of 25-30 million lives, and large numbers are called. Children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren still cannot find the burial places of soldiers of the Second World, search operations continue, because the war is not over until the last soldier is buried.
On behalf of the deputies of parliament Andrei Safonov, Oleg Belyakov, Sergey Khankevich in memory of those killed during the Great Patriotic War, laid flowers at the Memorial of Glory capital.
