A resident of Tiraspol, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, honored teacher Nina Alexandrovna Elagina marked the 95th anniversary the day before. The festive day, deputy of the Supreme Council Ilona Tyuryaeva and deputy of the City Council Yelena Soboleva visited the jubilee, according to the website of “The Obnovlenie” (Renewal) republican political party.

Nina Alexandrovna is a real example of wisdom and love of life, perseverance in achieving goals and serving the Fatherland. A pensioner comes from the Voronezh region. She passed a teacher's course having graduated from the 9th grade as a young girl and started teaching. At the beginning of the war, together with her friend, she was asked to go to the front.

The veteran says, she had to endure a lot at the front. She well remembers the details of the military service. One of Nina Elagina's memories of the war is connected with the way the regiment was surrounded in the Kharkiv region.

She met the victory in Nikolaev, and then moved with her husband to the Far East, where she again began her teaching work. She taught Russian language and literature, as well as the Constitution in secondary school, later - nautical and craft schools.

Nina Alexandrovna was congratulated on her birthday today by the students, the eldest among them is already over 80, children and grandchildren, friends and neighbors, as well as the veteran organization of Tiraspol, the city in which Elagina has been living since 1975. The birthday person knows by heart a lot of poems. She happily cited her favorite works - a sonnet about the autumn life of Rasul Gamzatov, "Do not let your soul be lazy" by Nikolai Zabolotsky and many others.

Ilona Tyuryaeva, the granddaughter of the frontline soldiers, said that people who had gone through the war had similar life roads.
