Congratulations on the Day of Knowledge!

Dear schoolchildren and students!

Dear teachers!

I sincerely congratulate you on the beginning of the new academic year and Knowledge Day on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and on my own behalf!

Another year-long educational marathon will begin in all educational institutions of the republic on the 1st of September. More than 70 thousand pupils and students will begin classes in comprehensive schools and vocational educational institutions. Almost 4 thousand children will come to the first grade for the first time, for whom the road to the most valuable acquisition in life – knowledge will open on this day!

The Pridnestrovian state annually allocates funds in the republican budget for the arrangement of sports and assembly halls, school and student canteens, the purchase of educational literature and office equipment, ensuring the further preservation and development of the educational system.

A person studies and is educated throughout his life: in the family, kindergarten, school, college, technical school, institute, of course, but it is the school that provides the basis for the formation of his civic personality. A lot depends on teachers in this case.

Dear teachers! You do not just give knowledge, but, following the traditions of Pridnestrovian education, you are mentors for young people, in many ways you determine the worldview, values, life position of each student – you create the basis for the development of human capital in fact. The development of our Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for decades to come, our national perspective and competitiveness depend on you, on the quality and content of your work.

The Pridnestrovian education system, responding to the requirements of existing realities, must fully perform the function of a social elevator, opening the way for bright, talented, proactive youth to enter the economy, politics, culture, and other spheres of activity and life.

I am confident that the education system will continue to absorb innovations, new ideas that are born in the world, and due to such renewal, the influx of fresh forces, we will be able to ensure the dynamic development of our republic. Dear friends! I congratulate once again you on the beginning of the new academic year and sincerely wish you all good health, fruitful creative search, hard work and mutual understanding! Success and new discoveries to you!
