Congratulations on Defender of the Homeland

Dear veterans of the Great Patriotic War, internationalist warriors,

defenders of PMR, soldiers and officers!

Please accept my heartiest congratulations on Defender of the Homeland Day on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and from me personally!

The indifferent and responsible attitude towards the fate of the Homeland, characteristic of the Pridnestrovian character, made today's holiday truly national. Fidelity to the duty of defending the Homeland has been repeatedly confirmed by the Pridnestrovians. Our history is rich in both military feats on the battlefields and selfless labor in the rear; we know the price of the struggle for the independence of our native land, and we will always remember that the measure of this price was the lives of people.

Defense of the Homeland in the modern understanding is not only military service. Coordinated work of law enforcement agencies, ensuring peace of citizens and maintaining law and order in society, reliable protection of the state border, promotion of the economic interests of the republic, work of rescue services in emergency situations – these are integral components of serving the cause of defending the Homeland. That is why high professionalism and readiness to quickly solve any complex problems are so important today.

We can rightfully be proud of the glorious feat of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the valor of Afghan soldiers, and the heroism of the defenders of Pridnestrovian statehood. Being representatives of different eras and generations, they can all serve as a worthy example of true patriotism, a role model for the youth and youth of our republic.

With all my heart I wish you good health and happiness, prosperity, joy, good luck and an optimistic attitude! Good luck to you in serving the interests of the Homeland!
