The leadership of the Supreme Council met with the Hungarian ambassador

Pridnestrovie was visited by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Moldova Sandor Szabo. Meetings were held with the President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev, and Prime Minister Alexander Martynov in the course of the visit. The diplomat met with the leadership of the legislature Alexander Shcherba and Galina Antyufeeva at the Supreme Council.

Sandor Szabo is a graduate of the Budapest University of Technical and Economic Sciences (Faculty of International Relations), he worked as Secretary of the Hungarian Embassy in Moscow. He was engaged in protocol issues of participation of the Hungarian team in the 1980 Olympic Games. At various times he was the Ambassador of Hungary to Bulgaria, Albania, Georgia and Armenia. He has been holding the post of ambassador to Moldova since October 2017. He visits Pridnestrovie in this status for the first time.

The speaker expressed confidence that the links between Pridnestrovie and Hungary will be strengthened and expanded. The scope of their action is broad - it's culture, art, economics. Sandor Szabo, speaking about the new law on investments, noted that its adoption will create a new impetus for the development of mutually beneficial economic relations.

Themes of the dialogue are inter-parliamentary ties, Russia's role on the banks of the Dniester, as well as the negotiation process between the PMR and the RM.

In this regard, the guest expressed certain hopes related to the prospect of holding a meeting in the "5 + 2" format in May of this year.

At the end of the meeting, the head of parliament emphasized that Pridnestrovie is open to dialogue and wants to be heard.
