They send congratulations to the fraternal people

On August 26, the Republic of Abkhazia will celebrate the Day of International Recognition of Independence. A large-scale event of historical importance for the people of Abkhazia occurred ten years ago - the republic achieved international recognition.

The festive events in Sukhum have already begun. The delegation from Pridnestrovie also came to congratulate the fraternal people on Independence Day. It includes deputies of the Supreme Council Grigory Dyachenko and Vadim Doni, Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Tsurcan, the leadership of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry.

Pridnestrovians along with other leading politicians from Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Russia, Germany, Great Britain and Switzerland became participants in the international conference "10 Years of Recognition: Results and Prospects". The event was organized by the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry. This is reported by the official website of the department.

The international conference was opened by the President of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba. In his welcoming speech, he noted that August 26, 2008 is an important, and also a turning point in the history of Abkhazia.

Speakers noted that with the recognition of independence, a qualitatively new stage in the state development of the Republic of Abkhazia came. For the first time in the post-war history, the country had the opportunity of peaceful existence, gained reliable security guarantees from Russia. At the end of the plenary session, the conference participants continued their work in the framework of six round tables.

Deputies of the Supreme Council took part in the discussion on interparliamentary cooperation and parliamentary diplomacy. In addition, the Pridnestrovian parliamentarians became participants in the presentation of the international movement PROAbkhazia. This is an informal public association that promotes the dissemination of objective information about the Republic of Abkhazia.
