Members of the Presidium of the Supreme Council met with Russian senator, member of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security Sergei Muratov. Deputy of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov in the course of the dialogue informed the guest about the main directions of the work of the Pridnestrovian parliament and about the tasks facing the deputy corps. The chairmen of the committees informed Sergey Muratov about the work in the committees of the Supreme Council.
Alexander Korshunov told the Russian senator about the history of the formation of the statehood of Pridnestrovie and all government bodies of the country. The fact is that the vector of development of our republic was decided by the Pridnestrovians at referenda. 7 referendums were held in our republic. The overwhelming majority of citizens during one of them voted for the independence of Pridnestrovie with its subsequent entry into the Russian Federation.
One of the issues that was raised at the meeting was the simplified procedure for obtaining Russian citizenship by Pridnestrovians, primarily young people.
During the conversation they focused on the topic of the elections that took place in the republic the day before.
Member of the Federation Council of Russia Sergey Muratov on a single voting day visited all polling stations in the Dubossary district.
Separately, the Russian senator focused on statements from Chisinau that the Russian peacekeepers should leave Pridnestrovie.
