25.08.2021

Russian Parliamentarians assist in the resumption of full-fledged work of the consular post of the Russian Embassy in Tiraspol. This was announced today in an interview with journalists by the Deputy of the State Duma of the VII convocation, candidate for the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the VIII convocation Artem Turov. According to him, together with colleagues - deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, who represent the interests of Pridnestrovie in the Russian parliament, with Sergei Chizhov, they worked with the Russian Foreign Ministry on the issue of opening the consulate. The consular service point did not work for over a year due to the pandemic.

The Russian Parliamentarian emphasized that the third stage is now underway - interaction with the profile department of the Russian Foreign Ministry on sending additional staff to the Tiraspol consular post.

The Parliamentarian recalled that the validity of the passport does not affect the participation in the voting for the elections to the Russian parliament that will be held on September 19. Russian citizens can vote with an expired Russian passport. Due to the non-working consular point, there are several thousand such documents in Pridnestrovie.
