A little more than a day is till the momentous events in Pridnestrovie. On Sunday, the country will elect a President. International observers are coming to the republic. Five of them - the State Duma - visited today the Supreme Council. Representatives of "The United Russia" Artem Turov and Sergey Chizhov, members of the Liberal Democratic Party Anton Morozov and Pavel Shperov and a representative of "The Fair Russia" Sergey Kryuchek. Two more Russian parliamentarians - representative of "The United Russia" faction Alexey Silanov and Communist Kazbek Taysaev - arrive in the republic tomorrow.
According to Artem Turov, a group of seven Russian deputies will observe the elections of Pridnestrovian President on behalf of the State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin. The invitaion of the Duma observers was initiated by the Supreme Council of PMR.
According to Artem Turov, general briefing will be held at the end of the campaign. The final document will be one. Russians expect give a clear, objective assessment of the level of elections. Information will be communicated to both Pridnestrovian and the leadership of the State Duma.
Tomorrow the Russian parliamentarians, observers plan to visit polling stations in order to find out whether they are equipped as early voting and at what level public awareness is.
Vice-speaker of Pridnestrovian parliament Alexander Shcherba reminded that this is the fifth for the republic's electoral campaign for the presidential election.
Representative of the State Duma of the Liberal Democrats Pavel Shperov said that he and his colleague Anton Morozov arrived in Pridnestrovie in such important period for the country on the personal orders of Vladimir Zhirinovsky.
During the nearly hour-long conversation Russian deputies addressed a number of issues to Pridnestrovian colleagues. To clarify, for example, how much the inhabitants of Pridnestrovie hold Russian citizenship.
They asked the Russians and on the mechanism of selection of Pridnestrovian electoral observers. Alexander Shcherba explained that, in addition to international observers, an important role for public control over the quality of the elections.
