Russia - is a strategic choice of Pridnestrovian people

September 17, 2006 Pridnestrovians confirmed the selected vector of republic's development. The overwhelming majority of voters in the referendum voted for independence of Pridnestrovie, with further joining to Russia. After 10 years, the desire to be together with their historical homeland has not changed.

Mikhail Burla, in his speech emmphasized that the referendum - is confirmation of our democratic republic. Pridnestrovie and Russia share common historical roots, social and economic ties. There are at the territory of the republic a lot of objects that are the property of, or are part of the corporate structures of Russia, in particular, the plant "Pribor" Bendery is part of the "Salute" Unitary Enterprise Russian. Particularly important, according to the deputy, it is the general system of education and science.

Another mechanism of the countries joining is participation of  Pridnestrovians in the forthcoming elections to the Russian parliament. Therefore, the deputy called Pridnestrovians - Russian citizens to take active part in it. According to Mikhail Burla, the Supreme Council intends to strengthen the close inter-parliamentary relations with the new convocation of the State Duma of Russia. Deputy elaborated on the harmonization of the Pridnestrovian legislation with Russian.
