Russia celebrates Constitution Day

Today, December 12, the Russian Federation celebrates Constitution Day. Round table on the topic "The Day of the Constitution of the Russian Federation" was held at the Taras Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University, at the initiative of the Youth Parliament under the Supreme Council of the PMR. The round table was attended by Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeeva, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, representatives of the State Duma and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, management and teachers of the Pridnestrovian State University, representatives of public organizations, deputies of the Youth Parliament of Pridnestrovie.

The participants of the round table discussed the role of constitutional reform in the Russian Federation in the context of the prospects for development and harmonization of the PMR legislation with the legislation of Russia.

A report was made on the features of the modern constitutional model of the social state in the Russian Federation at the round table dedicated to the Day of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Artem Turov noted that over the past 3 years, the relevant committee had considered and the State Duma adopted more than 10 federal laws aimed at supporting compatriots.

The Russian parliamentarian stressed that Pridnestrovie is part of the larger Russian world. Russian people live here, who have common values, one culture, one views on development, on the future, on our history.

At the end of the round table, the deputies of the Youth Parliament of Pridnestrovie held a rally. They handed out to the residents of Tiraspol a memo with information about the Day of the Constitution of Russia and a brief historical note about this public holiday.
