Participants of the first consultative meeting of Pridnestrovian deputies under the Chairman of the Supreme Council talked about recently discussed by parliamentarians law-in-draft on amendments to the Electoral Code. One of the authors of the legislative initiative Igor Buga presented its essence.

Particular emphasis in bringing the arguments in favor of reducing the threshold of voter turnout in the presidential election to the 25% he made on the statistical data on emigration. Thus, according to data of the Ministry of Interior, in the period from 2010 to 2015 inclusive from Pridnestrovie 47,731 people left for permanent residence. But the temporary departure of any state structure is not fixed.

It was noted during exchange of views the absence of a threshold turnout in Russia, the law of which we are harmonizing with their own, and we have in the second ballot for the election of the head of state. But his colleagues went further and recommended to exclude turnout the current composition of Parliament, as is already done in Russia. Civic activity of Pridnestrovians is not reduced because of this.

Voting results of the first Pridnestrovian deputies are: reduction of turnout to 25% - 3 people, for the abolition of the turnout - 30 people.
