The right for survivor's pension

Widows of military personnel and those who died in the line of duty will be entitled to two pensions. One is due to age or disability, the other is due to the loss of a breadwinner. Amendments to a number of laws in the first reading were adopted today by the deputies of the Supreme Council.

Today the pension for the loss of the breadwinner is approximately 2300 rubles.

The implementation of the law-in-draft requires about 1 million 700 thousand rubles. It is planned that the new provisions of the law will be in effect from 2022. So far, the relevant committee has begun work on preparing the law-in-draft for the second reading.

The Supreme Council notes the need to strengthen material support for the widows of servicemen and citizens equated to them in pension provision who have died or died as a result of a military injury while performing military service duties or official duties in peacetime.
