Repair of courtyard areas at the expense of the Fund for the Execution of Voters' Instructions

The territory of two courtyards near multi-story buildings in Leningradskaya Street and 40 Let Pobedy Street was paved with paving slabs in the microdistrict "Solnechny" of Bendery this summer. The work was financed by the Fund for the Execution of Voters' Instructions this year. Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, who is a deputy in constituency No. 1 "Solnechny", notes that broken asphalt in the courtyards of multi-story buildings is a sore point in his district. Aleksandr Korshunov annually directs money from the Fund for the Execution of Voters' Instructions to courtyard areas and intra-block driveways since no targeted funding is allocated for their repair from the city Road Fund.

The courtyard of house No. 54 in Leningradskaya Street was recently paved with tiles. The chairman of the house cooperative Vitaly Railyan said that the courtyard was drowned in water, which caused inconvenience to all residents earlier, when it rained.

Ramps have now been installed at the entrances, and the path near the house leading to the school, store, and bus stop has been landscaped in addition.

Local deputies of the Bender City Council for the Solnechny district are also getting involved in the improvement of the courtyards. Thus, a large area near houses No. 28 and No. 30 on 40 Years of Victory Street was paved this year with paving tiles with the joint money of two Instruction Funds – the Supreme Council and the Bendery City Council. 500 square meters of yard is without holes and potholes at present.

Yards in "Solnechny" are becoming both safe and cozy. New fences are appearing near the front gardens in addition to tiles. Residents only have to plant their favorite flowers and keep the yard clean and tidy.

By the way, cars are parked behind the 32nd house in 40 Years of Victory Street. The spacious parking lot that appeared in the microdistrict a couple of years ago relieved the yards of neighboring multi-story buildings of cars.

Creating a parking lot or improving the yard are frequent requests that deputies hear from voters in the "Solnechny" district. There are still many addresses of houses next to them, near which there are still holes and broken asphalt. A large amount of work cannot be done with the money from the Voters' Instructions Fund; separate funding from the republican budget is needed for intra-block and intra-yard driveways, notes Vyacheslav Nazarov. The issue of financing intra-block and intra-yard driveways was discussed on September 17 in the course of the meeting between the President and representatives of the All-Pridnestrovian People's Forum. The activists noted that they receive many complaints from citizens about the condition of the asphalt in the courtyards of multi-story buildings.
