Recreated the feat of the liberators

Pupils of the Suvorov military school recreated the time of the meeting of the Soviet divisions and the storming of the bridgehead in the Dniester region. The boys made several forced marches, passing the roads of the Soviet divisions. The meeting and flower-laying ceremony were held at the memorial in Tashlyk. The culmination of the large-scale military-patriotic action was the reconstruction of the bridgehead at the monument of the 47th Guards Rifle Division, which on April 12, 1944 forced the Dniester River. Recently, the pupils of the Suvorov military school brought it up to order by organizing volunteer Saturday work at a place of fighting 75 years ago.

The reconstruction of the battle was observed by Defense Minister Oleg Obruchkov, Deputy of the Supreme Council, Head of the Republican youth movement “The Heirs of the Victories” Igor Buga, leaders of the Grigoriopol district and local residents.

In memory of the victorious warriors, the meeting participants planted trees. All the guests plunged into the atmosphere of wartime, visiting a kind of halt, where, with the songs of the war years, they tasted soldiers' porridge from the field kitchen.

At the end, of the Suvorov military school pupils marched in a solemn march to the front-line songs along the main street of the village of Butor. The local people greeted the young defenders with flowers in their hands, as well as 75 years ago, when the Victory came to the banks of the Dniester.
