Emergency regime extended till June 1 in Pridnestrovie

12.05.2020

The President Vadim Krasnoselsky, signed a decree on the extension of the state of emergency in Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic until June 1. The state of emergency due to the spread of coronavirus has been operating in the republic since March 16. It has already been extended several times. Last time – until May 15. The decision to extend the state of emergency is due to the fact that the incidence of coronavirus infection among the population is still high.

The decision made will minimize the spread of coronavirus among the population. In this difficult period for everyone, the state maximally supports the population and all spheres of life. On April 8, the Supreme Council adopted anti-crisis law to support business and citizens in quarantine.

From today, quarantine concessions began in the republic. Several non-food stores are opened. The main condition for their work is that personnel must use masks and gloves, as well as regularly disinfect rooms, furniture and equipment, provide antiseptics for visitors, who should also be in masks.

Pridnestrovians will be able to travel on their personal vehicles without obtaining permission from the Operational Headquarters. A prerequisite is that only close relatives, family members or people living together can be in the car.

Further mitigation of quarantine measures depends on the spread of COVID - 19.
