The Supreme Council approved at the 3rd emergency meeting the decree of the PMR President on extending the state of emergency in the economy until March 10 inclusive. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky announced that the state of emergency in the economy would be extended last week in an interview with the Izvestia Russian publication.

The situation in the energy sector has not stabilized despite the fact that gas supplies to Pridnestrovie resumed on February 1. The gas that is currently supplied to the republic was purchased using a European grant. Its volumes will last until February 10. A decision on long-term supplies has not yet been made.

"Unfortunately, not all issues have been resolved yet, and the energy crisis continues. The solution found since February 1 is temporary. Today, government bodies, officials of the republic, including first of all, the President of the PMR, the Chairman of the Government, deputies of the Supreme Council, are working on the issue of energy supplies in the longer term, which will help stabilize both the economy of our republic and the state of the budget, of course. It is very important to transfer temporary solutions, temporary resolutions of issues into the format of the long term," said the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov.

The volumes of European humanitarian gas are not enough for the full operation of all industrial enterprises of the republic.

"This gas is enough to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe. That is, it is enough to heat premises, residential premises, social institutions, medical institutions. The real sector of the economy is at a standstill for now. It is very important to understand that without the work of our enterprises, in general, we will not be able to collect the revenue in the amount that will be enough to pay off all social obligations", added Alexander Korshunov.

The priority task of the state is to fulfill its social obligations today. The law "On state measures aimed at minimizing the negative impact in connection with the introduction of a state of emergency related to the reduction (termination) of natural gas supplies to the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic", which was adopted in December last year, will continue to operate in the Economy during the state of emergency. The energy crisis has caused enormous damage to the economy of Pridnestrovie, provoked an increase in expenses and a loss of income for the republican budget. The parameters of the country's main financial document will be revised in the near future in this regard. The Supreme Council and the Government have already begun work on this.
