Regulation of legal relations in the field of education

The PMR Supreme Council Deputies supported amendments to the Law of the PMR "On Education" in the first reading in the course of the plenary session. The proposed norms should enshrine the requirement in the law-in-draft, according to which only a candidate with a second-level higher pedagogical education (specialist, master's degree) can apply for the position of school principal in cities. The legislation’s authors were the deputies of the Parliamentary Education Committee - Igor Buga, Pavel Shinkaryuk and Andrey Safonov.

The law-in-draft proposes to ban close relatives from holding the positions of director and deputy director in schools, kindergartens and other educational organizations. Close relatives include parents, spouses, brothers, sisters and children. The prohibition also applies to close relatives of the spouse.

The deputies supported the amendments to the Law of the PMR "On Education" in the first reading. All controversial points will be settled during the preparation of the law-in-draft for the second reading.
