The amendments to the Labor Code concerning the issues of remote work were initiated by the deputies of the parliamentary committee for social policy. The law-in-draft is proposed to regulate remote work and the temporary transfer of an employee to “remote work” in exceptional cases at the initiative of the employer. The changes relate to the conceptual framework, the order of interaction between the employee and the employer and other profile issues.
The Head of the committee emphasized that changes to the Labor Code are being made to protect the rights of the employee. The deputies analyzed the legislation of other states on this issue. The law-in-draft was adopted at the plenary session in the first reading. The work on the document will be continued by the relevant committee for consideration in the second reading.
