The referendum as the highest form of democracy

Organized by the teachers of the department dedicated to legal disciplines of the law faculty of the Tiraspol branch of the Moscow Academy of Economics and Law Scientific and Practical Conference was devoted to the 10th anniversary of the nationwide referendum on the further development of the country. It has a symbolic name - "The referendum as the highest form of democracy". Students and teachers of high schools attended the scientific and practical forum. In the role of guest of honor was the ex-speaker of the Parliament, Chairman of the Supreme Council Committee on Education, Science and Culture Mikhail Burla. He greeted participants of the conference on the significant jubilee - the 10th anniversary of the fateful referendum - from the Chairman of the Supreme Council Vadim Krasnoselsky and presented welcome address on behalf of the leadership of the university.

The main topics of discussion later became different facets of the referendum - as the highest form of democracy; as the possibility of preserving the cultural and historical memory of the people. They also discussed the role and importance of referendums in the modern world, the order of organization and holding in PMR.

According to the results of the scientific-practical conference "The referendum as the highest form of democracy," the relevant documents have been adopted.
