25.04.2018

In the course of the plenary session, the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba informed the legislators about the deputy inquiry prepared by Oleg Vasilatiy. The essence of the inquiry is to initiate inspection of pre-school educational institutions of cities and districts of the republic for the implementation of sanitary and epidemiological requirements for the equipment of group areas of kindergartens with shady canopies.

Oleg Vasilaty drew attention to the fact that the deputies of the Supreme Council receive such appeals every year, their geography is extensive. Therefore, he considers it important to draw attention to the problem, because it is about the health of children. The author gives an example of how this issue is regulated in the Russian Federation in the deputy inquiry. Sanitary and epidemiological requirements for the organization, content and organization of the operating mode of Russian pre-school educational organizations establish that "to protect children from the sun and rain in the territory of each group site, establish a shadow canopy area of at least 1 square meter per child. The area of the shady canopy must be at least 20 square meters for groups of less than 15 people. It is allowed to install collapsible canopies and arbors on the promenade for use in the hot season. Shadow canopies are recommended to be equipped with wooden floors (or other building materials that are harmless to human health) at a distance of at least 15 cm from the ground".

As noted in the inquiry of the deputy, based on the results of the inspection, information on the required number and area of shadow canopies for each particular institution should be submitted to the Supreme Council.

Having familiarized with the deputy's inquiry, the deputies decided to send the deputy's inquiry to the prosecutor Anatoly Guretsky and the chief sanitary doctor of the republic Natalia Beryl.
