The Equal Opportunities Program Implementation

45 people with disabilities were employed in 2021. Many have been retrained in specialties: office manager, computer user, foreign language course, manicurist, etc. This was announced by the Minister for Social Protection and Labor, presenting to the deputies a report on the Equal Opportunities program. Elena Kulichenko spoke about creating an accessible environment. Work in this direction continues throughout the country. Ramps and call buttons are installed.

Deputy Vadim Kravchuk raised the issue of installing ramps to multi-storey buildings belonging to cooperatives and associations of homeowners. Residents of his constituency in Rybnitsa spoke about the problem. According to Elena Kulichenko, this issue will be resolved at the level of the ministry and local state administrations.

Joint work with deputies of the Supreme Council was noted last year. Amendments were adopted to the law “On Social Protection of the People with special needs”. Children of this social category, who do not attend educational organizations due to their health, receive compensation since the beginning of the year, it makes 45 minimum wages (436 rubles) every month.

The Minister of Health added that Pridnestrovian State University trained speech pathologists to work with children with speech, vision, hearing, intelligence, and musculoskeletal disorders.
