The speaker of parliament Mikhail Burla took part in the Council for Science and the Science and Technology Policy. Participants of the meeting summed up the half-yearly results of working in various fields of research laboratories. Customers, including the Supreme Council, Administration of the President, ministries and departments, evaluated the effectiveness of the work carried out in the laboratories of PSU named after Taras Shevchenko Institute of Ecology, the Pridnestrovian Institute of Agriculture, the Republican botanical garden, nature reserve "Yagorlyk". It is found to be satisfactory in most areas. Questions have arisen to the productivity of university research conducted in the sphere of bioinformatics, as well as on the theme "Physical education and sports medicine". In addition, the Ministry of Justice as a customer has claims. The agency considered that the conducted profiling laboratory at the Institute of History, State and Law of PSU legal research is applied rather than fundamental (as calculated) character. Without prejudice to the importance of the work carried out by experts, representatives of the Ministry of Justice recommended to apply the results in education sphere. There were proposals to close the Scientific Research Laboratory. The Chairman of the Supreme Council entered the dialogue. According to him, Research Laboratory in charge of legal matters can not be absent in a law-governed state.

Another issue that was raised by the speaker - is the lack of representative information about the republic. There has been talk for years about the need to prepare a research work about the history of the state authorities of Pridnestrovie, legislation, regulations, judicial system, etc. Supreme Council has been issued a corresponding order.
