Elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation will be held from 17 to 19 September. Residents of the Slobodzeya district of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic who have Russian citizenship will be able to vote. This is approximately 10 thousand people. Polling stations will be opened for them in the town of Slobodzeya and the village of Krasnoe. Visiting commissions will be organized for residents of Blizhny Khutor, Parkany, Kitskany and Sukleia.

On the eve of the residents of the Slobodzeya region talked to the candidate for the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the VIII convocation from "The United Russia" party Sergei Chizhov. The meeting was attended by deputies of the Supreme Council Sergei Cheban and Pavel Shinkaryuk, Head of the State Administration Vasily Tishchenko, Chairman of the Council of People's Deputies Tatiana Zalevskaya.

Russian passports, the receipt of the Russian vaccine, the possibility of using maternity capital on the territory of the republic are among the issues raised by the residents of the district. The topic of one-time allowances for Russian citizens living in Pridnestrovie was raised. The decree on the payment of 10 thousand rubles of the Russian Federation to pensioners was signed by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Residents of Slobodzeya district are also concerned about the issue of increasing quotas in Russian universities for Pridnestrovian graduates. Sergei Chizhov said that the quotas have already been increased from the next academic year. The number of budget-funded places for compatriots, including those living in Pridnestrovie, in Russian universities will almost double in 2023.

The candidate for the State Duma of the Russian Federation noted that the voiced problems would be resolved upon returning to Russia at the end of the meeting.
