Equal Rights for Pensioners

In the course of the plenary session, parliamentarians supported the legislative initiative of the deputy Galina Antyufeeva, providing for the provision of benefits to pensioners residing in the republic for long-term registration. As the deputies noted, another amendment of the law "On Social Protection of Veterans and Persons of Retirement Age" is called upon to equalize the rights of citizens of retirement age living on the territory of Pridnestrovie.

The Supreme Council during this year has already adopted a number of amendments to the law "On the Social Protection of Veterans and Persons of Retirement Age", thereby granting privileges to pay for public services and travel on public transport to pensioners who are citizens of the PMR permanently residing in the republic for a long period of registration, but receiving a pension of a foreign state.

This law-in-draft deals with the right to privileges for payments for natural gas, electric and heat energy, water supply and water disposal, for travel by all types of public transport (with the exception of passenger taxis) in urban and suburban routes by the distance established by the Government of the Republic .

The legislative initiative during the plenary session was adopted in the first reading.
