Expansion of benefits

02.11.2022

Parliamentarians are working to expand benefits for those who import vehicles for personal use. We are talking about exemption from excise duty and the corresponding changes to the Law of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic "On excises". The list of those who are now exempt from paying excise duty when importing a car (participants in military operations in wars, armed conflicts, other military operations specified in the law establishing the legal status of war veterans, participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant , disabled people of groups I and II with a violation of the musculoskeletal system or with the absence of lower limbs) should be supplemented by citizens of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic who are dependent on disabled children under 18 years of age or disabled people who have been low-mobile and immobile since childhood, who have lost the opportunity to perform all vital physiological and domestic needs, the implementation of which is possible only with the constant help of other persons at the suggestion of the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

512 disabled children with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy and 151 disabled since childhood, who cannot take care of themselves and lead a sedentary or recumbent lifestyle, are registered with specialized specialists currently, according to the Ministry of Health.

The average amount of benefits for importing a car will be about $950. It is planned that excise tax exemption will be granted once. The deputies adopted the legislative initiative in the first reading at the plenary session today. Work on amendments and additions to the law "On excises" will continue.
