The Parliament Speaker Mikhail Burla presented letters of appreciation to members of the Supreme Council of the Central Election Commission, representing the legislature from 2009 to 2014. Among the six awardees – there are the CEC head Elena Gorodetskaya and chairman of the College of Advocates of PMR Alexander Kiyko. This year, they retain their powers.

"The elections - is always competition between candidates. The main thing – is as much as possible to comply with regulations, to work within the law. According to international observers, the elections in the republic always comply with the norms of Pridnestrovian legislation and international standards", - said the Chairman of the Supreme Council Mikhail Burla, referring to the invitees.

According to Elena Gorodetsky, the members of the Central Election Commission, formed in 2015 face a responsible task - to hold elections to the Supreme and local councils of People's Deputies in the single day of voting. "Thanks to the joint efforts the elections should confirm the status of democratic legal state, enshrined in the Constitution of PMR", - said the head of the CEC.
