The plenary session of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is scheduled for May 18. The Presidium of the Supreme Council decided to include on its agenda a number of legislations that were prepared for consideration and adoption in the first and second readings by the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens today.
The second reading of amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses, is among them, for example, which are designed to establish fines for beatings or other violent acts that caused physical pain, even if they did not lead to loss of working capacity and health problems. The same law-in-draft proposes to establish a maximum period – no more than 48 hours – for sobering up during administrative detention of a person in a state of intoxication.
The Civil Code is proposed to be amended and supplemented to regulate relations, the object of which are the results of intellectual activity and equated means of individualization: copyright; rights related to copyright; patent law; the right to a selection achievement; the right to the topology of an integrated circuit; the right to a production secret (know-how); rights to means of individualization of legal entities, goods, works, services and enterprises. The law-in-draft will be considered in the first reading.
There are changes to the Regulations of the Supreme Council of the PMR and to the program for the execution of orders of voters among the legislations.
