The meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with the leadership of the district, deputies of local authorities, social activists and parliamentarians was held in Grigoriopol at the site of the city district council. The PMR Supreme Council Deputies Oleg Leontiev and Vladimir Pelin took part in the meeting.
Topics relevant to the region in addition to the traditional discussion of the foreign policy situation were raised in the course of the meeting. Many of them concern the inhabitants of the whole republic. They talked about the reburial of the remains of those who were repressed and shot at the end of the 30s of the XX century, which were discovered near the ramparts of the Tiraspol fortress. The remains of 190 residents of Karmanovo and the surrounding villages were reburied in the village cemetery at the end of 2022. The President was thanked for his assistance in creating a memorial in the village of Karmanovo.
The possibility of further increase in wages to state employees and other social benefits were discussed at the meeting. They raised the topic of vocational education for young people. The measures aimed at retaining staff were discussed. The President was told that there are not enough kitchen workers in the educational institutions of the district, and the villages need doctors. The President informed that a meeting is scheduled for next week, at which the topic of providing medicines to residents in the villages will be discussed, which is also now among the urgent problems not only for the Grigoriopol region.
The President was told about the negative consequences of the movement of trucks on rural roads in Grigoriopol, in particular those that transport sand. The PMR President considers that it is necessary to work out this issue at the legislative level, as well as take targeted measures to address specific areas, in particular, in the villages of Teya and Krasnogorka.
As for the Malaeshty solid waste landfill, it is overfilled and the only solution to the problem, according to the President, will be the creation of a waste processing plant. The plant will be opened in Tiraspol, most likely. The issue is being worked out now. The capacity of the plant for processing municipal solid waste should be enough for the Grigoriopol region.
As for water supply in villages, this problem is especially acute during the irrigation season for the Grigoriopol region. Six pumps could not withstand the load and failed last year. Rural residents were left without drinking water for domestic needs because of this. They offer in the district their own solution as an alternative: to connect to the water supply system that supplies river water, which passes through the village of Bychok. The President instructed to study this possibility.
