The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky today visited Kamenka district and held an extended meeting with the heads of the district and villages, deputies of all levels and members of the public. The discussion was attended by the Parliament Deputy of the constituency No.12 "Kamenka" Valery Babchinetsky.
The President highlighted in detail the issue of concern to everyone about relations with neighboring states, potential threats and the security of our citizens at the beginning of the meeting.
In the dialogue part, they discussed taxation, sphere of passenger transportation, entrepreneurship, agro-industrial complex, sale of agricultural products, activities of the cannery of Kamenka and importance of preserving the local technical school and rural ungraded schools. The problem of caring for lonely elderly citizens was raised. Young people do not have enough organized cultural leisure as it turned out.
Further, topics and issues important for Kamenka district were raised. The participants of the meeting expressed their requests and proposals aimed at the development of the region and its infrastructure. Objects requiring repair, reconstruction or modernization were indicated. For example, the city stadium: the director of the local sports school drew attention to the unsatisfactory condition of the stands. There is no indoor pool in the district, and there is not even a gym in the village of Grushka (the premises were damaged by a fire). The deputies of Kamenka drew the attention of the PMR President to the condition of some rural roads that are in poor condition and require urgent repairs. A hot topic for some villages was the need for an early connection to a centralized water supply system.
The President recalled that almost 55 million rubles have been allocated from the capital investment fund for the development of the social infrastructure of Kamenka district over the past six years. 19.5 million of them are this year's funding. Four villages of the Kamenka district were included in the 2023 investment program for water supply. Plans are being formed for the future – the near and long term. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted at the end of the meeting that all proposals and problems expressed at the meeting would be taken into consideration. Specialists from specialized services and departments will study the materials before specific decisions are made.
