The procedure for the purchase of medicines for the treatment of HIV and all types of vaccines has changed

14.12.2022

The legislative initiative of the Government was considered today at the last plenary session of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The changes affected the law "On Procurement in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic".

The law regulates procurement, defines the rights and obligations of both customers and potential suppliers of goods and services. It also provides an opportunity to buy goods through auctions at the best price and rationally spend state money. But the process itself can be lengthy.

Specific groups of goods that fall under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health have been removed from the scope of this law today. These are medicines for the treatment of HIV infection, vaccines and other immunobiological preparations, as well as services for performing laboratory tests for infectious diseases.

This measure will allow timely provision of certain categories of citizens with the necessary medicines and the population of Pridnestrovie with vaccines for routine vaccinations.

Parliamentarians adopted the law-in-draft in two readings at once.
