The Enlightener and Defender of the Russian Land

On the territory of the operational group of Russian troops in Tiraspol, a temple festival was held. 20 years ago the church of the Holy Apostle Andrei the First-Called, the enlightener of the Russian land was consecrated here. On a festive day, believers came here. The festive liturgy in the Andreevsky temple was visited also by the vice-speaker of the parliament Galina Antyufeeva.

Chairman of the parliament Alexander Shcherba sent congratulations on behalf of the deputies of the Supreme Council to the Russian military.

The fact that the church of St. Andrei the First-Called was built on the territory of the Russian military unit is not accidental. The tradition to say a prayer before the battle was laid in Russia from time immemorial. And as Father Valery, the rector of St. Andrei's Church, said this day, Russian soldiers were going to fight with the enemy, defending the Fatherland with faith in the soul, which always helped them to win.
