Regular meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was held under the leadership of the Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov. The deputies discussed issues that will be included in the agenda of the next plenary sessions.

Thus, the Supreme Council will consider a draft resolution on the appointment of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on the 30th of March. This post has been occupied by Vyacheslav Kosinsky since March 15, 2017, his term of office expires this month. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky proposed to consider the candidacy of Vyacheslav Kosinsky for re-appointment to the post of Commissioner for Human Rights in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

The Supreme Council deputies as part of the first reading will consider amendments to the Law "On drinking water supply in the PMR" next week. The amendments from a group of deputies, which included Ruslan Gareev, Anton Onufrienko, Boris German and Ivan Nedelkov, are aimed at giving citizens an indisputable right to unilaterally refuse to execute the contract for the subscription service of the water meter. Pridnestrovians under the current law cannot terminate the meter maintenance agreement with a specialized organization. This issue has been raised by voters on numerous occasions. The agenda includes legislations prepared for consideration by the Committees for Social Policy, Regional Policy and Economics.

The clarifications prepared by the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance at the request of the PMR Prosecutor's Office will be submitted to the plenary session. We are talking about a number of articles of the Law "On the fundamentals of the tax system in the PMR".
