03.04.2024

The Prosecutor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Anatoly Guretsky made a report to the deputy corps on the state of law and order and on the work done to strengthen it last year.

Much attention is paid to dealing with complaints and appeals about violations of citizens' rights and freedoms, according to the Prosecutor of the Republic. There were 4443 (425 fewer requests than a year earlier) last year. Complaints about violations of labor laws remain the most common.

The long-standing problem of delaying the consideration of cases in the courts was raised during the speech of the Prosecutor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. This issue is one of the most urgent today, according to Anatoly Guretsky.

Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Chairman of the relevant parliamentary Committee on Legislation, Protection of Citizens' Rights and Freedoms Galina Antyufeeva noted the productive joint work of the Supreme Council and the Prosecutor's Office. The Prosecutor of the PMR submitted 25 legislative initiatives to Parliament last year. 10 of them have already been adopted by the Supreme Council in the second final reading. 586 conclusions on draft legal acts were prepared.

The report of the Prosecutor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on the state of law and order in the republic and on the work done to strengthen them in 2023 was approved by the Supreme Council at a plenary meeting, adopting a corresponding Resolution.
