Medical Worker Day is traditionally celebrated in Pridnestrovie on the third Sunday of June. This is a professional holiday for doctors, nurses, paramedics and all medical workers who save lives and take care of people's health.
The history of the holiday began in 1980, when by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR the third Sunday in June was declared the day of the medical worker. This tradition is still alive in our republic.
There are 3 medical institutions in the Tiraspol constituency No. 25 “Western”: the Medin medical center, clinic no. 6 State Institution Tiraspol Clinical Center for Outpatient Care and State Institution “Republican Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology”. Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Galina Antyufeyeva came to congratulate the doctors of her district on their professional holiday.
The teams of three medical institutions of the district gathered together in one hall. The awards were presented to the doctors by Deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR for constituency No. 25 “Zapadny” (Western) Galina Antyufeyeva. Medical workers were presented during the ceremony, with state and departmental awards, diplomas and letters of gratitude from the President, the Supreme Council and the Government of the Republic.
Artists of the orchestra of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic held a small concert for medical workers, performing popular modern musical compositions and classic works that have become favorites.
