The Supreme Council adopted amendments to the law "On licensing certain types of activities" in the first reading, which should eliminate a legal gap in the law and create a clear understanding of the procedure for paying for a license when renewing its validity period.
The law-in-draft was developed by deputies Viktor Guzun, Andrey Mezhinsky and Vadim Levitsky based on the appeal of the State Customs Committee of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
The law on licensing sets out the procedure for renewing a license. A license for a certain type of activity is issued for a period of 5, 10 years or indefinitely in this case, accordingly, the law also sets the amount of the license fee (400, 800 and 1000 minimum wages). At the same time, the possibility of reissuing a license is also prescribed, according to the list of cases established by law. For example, reissuing a license is possible when making changes to the name of a legal entity or its location, changing the surname of an individual entrepreneur, etc. In this case, the fee is 40 minimum wages. The State Customs Committee drew attention to the fact that the provisions of the law providing for the procedure for paying for a license when extending its validity period are understood in two ways. The law-in-draft provides for the creation of an unambiguous understanding of the procedure for paying for a license when extending its validity period, as well as specifying the terms for which the license is issued, and the amount of the license fee charged depending on the term of the license. The relevant Committee will continue working on the law-in-draft for the second reading.
