They demonstrated combat power

Traditional military and sports holiday was held on the Day of the Defender of the Fatherland in Tiraspol. The rostrum of the stadium was filled with spectators. Among the guests of honor of the holiday there are the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the first President of Pridnestrovie Igor Smirnov, the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, the deputies Igor Buga, Gregory Dyachenko and Oleg Belyakov, heads of ministries and departments.

There are more participants of the competition this year. To the traditionally participating fighters of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of State Security and Operational Group of Forces of the Russian Federation, servicemen of the Ministry of Justice and the State Security Service were added. Pupils of two educational institutions took part in the military sporting event for the first time: the Republican Cadet Boarding School and the Tiraspol Suvorov Military School.

Servicemen demonstrated perfect possession of weapons, hand-to-hand combat techniques, skills of performing special operations. The program of the competitions included throwing grenades, tug-of-war, a militarized relay race and the performance of a military-patriotic song.

Then the special forces groups of the security agencies showed proven skills in action. The audience saw capture of the enemy in a state of emergency, the search of suspicious objects by service dogs and other spectacular scenes. The Russian military showed a full-scale military operation to destroy the banditry that seized the peacekeeping post. High level of training was demonstrated by young students of military educational institutions. The guys prepared demonstration speeches on self-defense.

Addressing the contest participants, the President Vadim Krasnoselsky reminded that the holiday is held in the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Red Army. But, as the president noted, a great story belongs to the Russian imperial army.

As a result of the match, the victory was won by the team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. All the law enforcement agencies were awarded cups and certificates of the President.
