The Supreme Council adopted law-in-draft of the President in the second final reading on increasing the size of the fine, but with a minimal increase: not 10 minimum wages as originally proposed, but 3 minimum wages. The fine was previously 2 minimum wages (36.80 rubles)

Deputies consider that time is needed to teach drivers to fasten seat belts and motorcyclists to use helmets. It is necessary for this to strengthen the explanatory work of traffic militia officers. The Ministry of the Interior is conducting raids in this direction. Thus, "Fasten seatbelt!" event was held in the republic from June 19 to June 21. Traffic militia officers brought 181 drivers to responsibility. They did not fasten seatbelts while driving. 58 violations of the rules for the carriage of passengers were revealed. According to the rules of the road, passengers must use a seat belt, and children under 12 must be transported in restraints or car seats.

The deputies of the Supreme Council agreed with the opinion of the colleagues of the Committee on Legislation not to increase the fine for a certain time to 10 minimum wages. The statistics of violations will be analyzed after the strengthening of explanatory work by traffic militia officers and an increase in the fine by 1 minimum wage until the end of the year.

The fine ranges from 450 to 600 lei, and 3 penalty points in Moldova for violation of the rules for unfasten seat belts, motorcycle helmets, reflective signal warning vests, a child seat.

The fine in Pridnestrovie will be 55 rubles after the President signs the law adopted by parliamentarians today with amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses.
