By tradition, members of the Obnovlenie parliamentary faction gathered on the eve of the plenary meeting. The leader of the faction Peter Pasat informed his colleagues about the extended meeting held on January 17 with the leaders of state authorities, which was held by the President. Namely, about the legislations the President recommended to consider the Supreme Council this year. Among them there are the PMR Tax Code, amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the Supreme Council, the state program of continuing education, amendments and additions to the law on public procurement. It is also necessary to solve a number of issues in preparation for the festive events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 30th anniversary of the formation of our republic. A separate order for the Central Election Commission is the organization and conduct of elections to the Supreme and Local Councils in November this year.

In the course of the meeting of the faction, Chairman of the Supreme Council Committee on Social Policy Sergei Cheban asked his colleagues to support the law-in-draft "On state support for young families" and adopt it in final reading. Earlier the law-in-draft was adopted by the Supreme Council in the first reading at the end of last year. Members of the parliamentary faction agreed that the law-in-draft is relevant today and needs to be adopted.
