The ceremony of awarding Pridnestrovian schoolchildren, prize-winners of the international competition “Together in the 21st Century”, which is annually held by the Foundation for the Sustainable Development of Bulgaria under the patronage of the Russian Embassy in this country, took place in the central office of “The Obnovlenie” Party, the press service of the party reports.
Young Pridnestrovians, together with children from other states, speaking in three age groups, presented to the jury drawings, poems, essays, abstracts, multimedia presentations in Bulgarian or Russian on the subject of Bulgarian-Russian relations and international cooperation. The guys showed a good knowledge of the general history of Bulgaria and Russia. Many works touched upon the themes of the Russian-Turkish war of 1877-1878, the Great Patriotic War.
Among the winners and laureates of the competition were two dozen schoolchildren from Pridnestrovie: representatives of the Slobodzeya district, Rybnitsa and Rybnitsa district, Dubossary, Dnestrovsk, Tiraspol and Bendery. Two guys from Pridnestrovie - Yekaterina Kurkubet and Nikita Bryzhaty - at the invitation of the organizing committee of the competition rested in August in the Kamchia sanatorium and recreation complex on the Black Sea coast.
The winners received certificates and awards from the organizers. The teachers who helped the children prepare for the competition were also mentioned. Deputies of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov and Vadim Levitsky, deputy of the City Council Igor Edinak presented diplomas and valuable prizes.
According to Alexander Korshunov, the success of the children testifies to the fact that Pridnestrovie has a good education, talented teachers. Vadim Levitsky, in turn, welcomed the persistence of schoolchildren, the desire to do what he loved, the desire to learn something new.
The meeting was decorated by the performance of pupils of secondary school No. 1 of the village of Parcany. The guys in national costumes sang poems and songs in the Bulgarian language.
