Adopted in the final reading

The deputies adopted in the second, final reading legislations, relating to the amendment of the law "On the social protection of persons with disabilities". The first one deals with increase in the size of compensation payments for non-working parents who are caring for a disabled child from 35 to 100 MW per month. Today, there are over half a thousand such recipients. Taking into account the fact that 1 MW is 9.7 rubles, such payments will amount to 970 rubles next year.

The essence of the second legislative initiative is to provide benefits for utilities. Today, people with disabilities I and II of the visually impaired and deaf-and-dumb groups (also disabled with I and II groups) receive a 100% discount when they pay utility bills, and living in houses without central heating, this privilege is provided when paying for fuel and transport services for its delivery. Only disabled people living alone claim it. If minor children are registered, the benefit is 50%. Adopted amendments to the law give the right to receive 100% discount even in the presence of registered minor children.

The necessary expenses for these purposes are taken into account in the republican budget, as well as in the budget of the Unified State Social Insurance Fund for 2019.
