Six polling stations were opened in in Pridnestrovie at 8.00 a.m. Residents of the republic who have citizenship of the Russian Federation were able to participate in the voting for the election of the President of Russia. It was enough to do this to present an identity document confirming the existence of Russian citizenship. This includes a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, a foreign passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, a passport of a citizen of the USSR with a note on citizenship of the Russian Federation or an insert to the passport, or there is a stamp on registration at the place of residence confirming permanent residence in the territory of the Russian Federation on February 6, 1992. There is a certificate of entry (return) to the Russian Federation and an expired passport among the documents on which you can take part in the voting.
There were 3 polling stations in Tiraspol. The largest polling station No.8207 was opened in the building of the Palace of the Republic. The queue almost reached the House of the book in the morning due to the huge number of people willing to take part in the voting.
Another polling station No.8210 was located on Krasnodonskaya Street in the Oktyabrsky microdistrict of the capital. It was opened in the building of secondary school No.5. There were many people who wanted to take the vote here. People stood in a long queue that stretched from the clinic. There were especially many people of retirement age who wanted to take part in the voting.
Another polling station No.8209 in the capital was in the House of Officers. The visitors were greeted by music.
Only one polling station No.8206 was opened in the Pavel Tkachenko Palace of Culture in Bendery during these elections. Therefore, the queue stretched for a whole block to the nearest polyclinic there.
Two more polling stations were opened in Grigoriopol, in the city House of Culture, and in Rybnitsa in the Palace of Culture.
Approximately 13.5 thousand people took part in the voting for the election of the President of the Russian Federation in the noon, and 21372 Pridnestrovians by 14:00.
Polling stations will close at exactly 20:00 local time.
