Pridnestrovians are participants of the Victory Day parade in Moscow

Veterans of the Great Patriotic War Vladimir Gromov, Ivan Slyusar and Alexander Umerenkov left today from Pridnestrovie to Moscow, where together with veterans from other countries will take part in the parade dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of the Victory, the party website reports. Assistance in organizing the trip was provided by "The Obnovlenie" (Renewal) party.

A resident of Tiraspol Vladimir Gromov had previously visited the Victory Parade in Moscow, a resident of Bendery Alexander Umerenkov went to the Victory Parade in Minsk, and Ivan Slyusar from the village of Karagash would take part in such an exciting event for the first time. Veterans said that they "consider it an honor to become participants in a military parade in the heart of the great homeland".

Before leaving, the front-line soldiers met with the President Vadim Krasnoselsky and Vice-Speaker of the Pridnestrovian parliament, leader of "The Obnovlenie" Galina Antyufeeva.

Vladimir Ivanovich Gromov was born on July 14, 1926 in the town of Staraya Russa, Leningrad (now Novgorod) region. At the front - since the fall of 1943. He fought on the 2 nd Baltic (Leningrad) front with a machine gunner. The victory was met in Latvia, where he took part in the liquidation of the Kurland group of German troops. He was injured. He was awarded two Orders of the Patriotic War, the Order of Glory III degree. From 1946 to 1950 he served in Pskov, in the parachute division, later moved to Tiraspol, where until retirement he worked at the garment factory named after 40 anniversary of the Komsomol.

Alexander Egorovich Umerenkov was born on June 1, 1924. He was drafted into the army in August 1942, trained in the Krasnoznamenny Leningrad Infantry School named after Kirov, evacuated to the Perm region. He fought in the 63rd Army of the Bryansk Front, in July 1943 was appointed commander of a platoon of 45-millimeter guns. He forced Oka, liberated the city of Orel. Participated in the liberation of the Bryansk region, Byelorussia, forcing the rivers Desna, Sozh. He was wounded, after recovery he was sent to the Karelian front, to the 178th Kulaginsk Red Banner Rifle Division. He liberated Vyborg. Participated in the destruction of the enemy grouping of troops in Libau, where he met the Victory. Served in the ranks of the Soviet Army until 1973, retired in the rank of colonel. He worked in Bendery as a specialist of the housing department-2 on safety and civil protection.

Ivan Sergeevich Slyusar is the oldest of three veterans. He was born on July 23, 1923 in the town of Kamenka. On April 12, 1944, he was drafted into the Red Army as an ordinary soldier, took an oath in the village of Kolbasna. He served in the 5th Guards Airborne Division of the 3rd Ukrainian Front. He participated in the Iasi-Chisinau operation. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star for the liberation of Bendery, Orhei, Chisinau, for the liberation of Belarus received the medal "For Courage". He passed Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Hungary, reached Lake Balaton in the position of commander of the calculation and in the rank of senior sergeant. He was twice shell-shocked in the battles for Yugoslavia. IHE was awarded the medal "For Military Merit" in January 1945. The Victory Day was met in Budapest. He was demobilized and returned to Kamenka, to his native collective farm, where he worked as a carpenter, a carpenter in 1947. He retired in the position of foreman of the construction brigade. Since 1986 he lives in the village of Karagash of Slobodzeia district.

Veterans flew to the Russian capital from Chisinau at 13:50, at 15:30 the plane will land at Domodedovo airport. Participants of the war are accompanied by relatives or close people on a trip.
